Hey guys, still in Bamako, still alive, still working slowly at the orphanage. Christmas alone is tough, and I’m not sure it has the catharsis effect I thought it would, but except on special occasions like Christmas (and I guess, New Year’s Eve), I am mostly enjoying my time here!

Hi,

Just letting everyone know that I arrived in Bamako, Mali 5 days ago… I’ve been a little sick because of the food and the acclimatation, but otherwise everything is fine! 

My work project is taking some time to get off the ground but hopefully things will get running soon enough.

Bamako is really different from what I imagined. It’s very pretty and raw and interesting, so far I love it. 

However the internet connexion is quite bad so I guess I’ll post a lot less here and over at damnit-hardison.

I’ll still try and update the tumblr from time to time, if anything interesting happens :)
